March 2017 Issue

Welcome Readers, to another issue of the Green Observer! I am excited to present you the second issue of the spring semester. In this issue, you will find a collation of articles that I hope you find intriguing, entertaining, and informative.

This month, we are continuing our “GO Abroad” segment, where members of the Green Observer share their adventures while studying abroad. Keep reading to learn more about a grad student’s experience in UIUC’s NASA graduate program, how to grow plants inside your dorm room, or how to make a reusable, GIY t-shirt bag. Learn more about climate change, how it is effecting our planet, and simple steps you can follow to take better care of our planet. I am also excited to introduce a satire segment for this issue! In it you will find out what Trump’s cabinet members’ views are on environmental issues, as well as the EPA’s plan to take over UIUC’s morrow plots.

It is now more important than ever to continue discussing the future of our planet; I hope this issue inspires you to explore the different paths of conservation and bring an end to environmental injustice in our community.

I would like to give a special thank you to the YMCA for all your support, to the members of Green Observer who contributed to this issue, to the University of Illinois, the Champaign-Urbana community, and to all of our readers.

Without you, the Green Observer wouldn’t be possible.

Best,

Sarah
