Earth Week 2017

Welcome Readers, to another issue of the Green Observer! I am excited to present to you the Green Observer’s Earth Week issue-the final GO of this year! For our Earth Week issue, there is a collation of articles that I hope you find relevant, informative and entertaining.

In this issue, you can learn about simple ways to live a more sustainable and eco-friendly lifestyle; whether it’s what to eat, where to live, or how to get around, the GO’s got you covered. Keep reading to learn about environmental events on campus that you can get involved in like the sonified sustainability festival and the annual ecofeminism summit. I am also excited to announce that we are continuing our satire segment for this issue! In this segment you can read about what’s in UIUC’s dining hall food, learn how to dumpster dive, and quiz yourself on how much you know (or don’t know) about Scott Pruitt.

I would like to give a special thank you to the YMCA for all your support, to the members of Green Observer who contributed to this issue, to the University of Illinois, the Champaign-Urbana community, and to all of our readers. Although I am sad that this is our final issue of the semester, I look forward to the future and what’s in store for the Green Observer.
